"Why
I Do What I Do"
"I made a commitment to myself many years ago that I
would never be poor again or envy the wealth and
accomplishments of my friends and acquaintances," states
Chuck Mellon." I have expanded that vow to include as many
people as I can who, like me, believe that the power to
achieve our greatest goals lies within us; not outside of
our boundaries to control."
A
Working Class Background
"I grew up in a humble, working-class neighborhood and I
watched as my father struggled to provide for our family
with his modest salary. He passed away at the age of 53,
long before normal retirement age, and before he had built
up any significant savings for his later years. I promised
myself that would never happen to me, nor anyone I knew or
had the influence to change. Maybe that's why I was so
driven early in my career."
"Most of us are so busy hoping we don't fail that we seldom plan for our success. But, the more we tailor our daily and weekly activities to specific financial goals, the more rapidly we reach the success we really want. Luck has nothing to do
with it!"
